While Vietnam is facing its strongest ever outbreak of Covid 19, Vi Pha Co has been doubling its effort to supply all included PPE kits to various hospital within the country. With the support of our office staff we are able to increase our productivity to support both pandemic protections and supply of procedure pack for the ongoing surgeries of hospitals.

Since early 2020 Vi Pha has focus to increase its stocks in the event of a new outbreak and we are now ready to face this current situation for as long as possible. We would therefore like to ensure our partners that we will be able to supply all orders in the foreseeable future.

Since early February and the outbreak of Covid-19 in Vietnam, Vi Pha Co has been at the forefront of the fight against the virus with its own overall PPE to protects Vietnam healthcare workers from the infection.

We have reorganized our production and our supply chain to face the surge of demands of personal protective equipment and the general need of drapes for normal procedures. We have established a combination of efficiency and safety in our factory which has allowed us to maintain our regular supply as well.

From the beginning we have operated a switch in our production to increase the line of gown and support local hospitals with an efficient barrier against the virus.

In addition to the normal protective measure in the production line we have implemented preventive guidelines in our factory to respect social distancing, health screening and instructed our employees to limit their activities out of work.

With our distributor help, we aim to supply our quality products to most major hospitals in Philippines throughout 2020 and beyond.

Currently, VIPHACO is a market leader in the supply of disposable surgical drapes and gowns in Vietnam. Our goal is to provide products to hospitals around the world to bring excellence in infection control. We have exported worldwide and have a strong foothold in Southeast Asia (SEA) including Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos,… where we received good feedback from local major hospitals.

Our plan in 2018 is to expand to the Philippines and Indonesia, so that we can supply to the entire ASEAN. We recently had have trips to those two to understand the local market and meet many potential partners, in orders to select the most suitable ones who can provide our products for hospitals.

We hope to achieve this plan in 2018, so that we can cover all SEA and create brand recognition within this area, in terms of quality.

In order to improve the knowledge of VIPHACO staff about the importance of surgical packs in cardiovascular surgery, on May 19, we held a training session with the content “Training Catheterization and cardiovascular interventions and Angiography packs”.

The lecturer of this training is Dr. Lam, who worked at the Heart Institute of Ho Chi Minh City. Trained staff are R & D, local and international sales, purchasing, QC.

The purpose of the training is to increase the understanding of catheterization and cardiovascular interventions, and what are advantages of the VIPHACO products for a successful heart surgery. The training was divided into two parts: theory and practice.

The theory part begins with some basic concepts such as sheath, wire, stent, manifold, artery, etc., as well as why Angiography drapes has 02 holes, 04 holes and how to use it. Follow-up is the introduction of angiography machines, how technicians and surgeons work, as well as the difficulty in manipulating the wire, controlling blood flow at the opening. Finally, Dr. Lam introduce how VIPHACO products have created advantages in helping surgeons, by its scientific design such as the super absorbent area, plastic areas, the lead shield, …. .

The second part is practice part. Dr. Lam directly carried out Angiography draping. In the course of the practice, Dr. Lam pointed out directly how VIPHACO drapes are capable of helping surgery success, as well as lives saving.

The final is Q&A. The trainees were eager to study from practical experience of doctors. VIPHACO always appreciates learning because it involves saving lives.

This year, Vi Pha Co has celebrated 10 years of growth, development and support to surgical excellence.

We maintain our leadership as manufacturer and supplier of disposable drapes and gowns in Vietnam. We successfully expanded worldwide to more than 12 countries, attending 3 major Medical fairs, where we received a large interest and support. 2017 has been a year of changes in our production by doubling our production.

Vi Pha Co has recently joined the annual conference gathering nurses from all South Vietnam on patient care improvements. Hosted at the Medical University of Ho Chi Minh city, this annual conference theme was focused on improving the patient comfort and safety in the hospital.

First company in Vietnam to introduce disposable sterile barrier to reduce cross-infection, Vi Pha Co was presenting the advantages of disposables drapes against cotton drapes to support the transfer started in the recent years. Along with its economic development Vietnam sees a rapid improvement of its health system with better technologies, care and services for both patients and medical staff. Yet, with a low usage in Vietnam, disposable gown, drapes and procedure pack are novelty to the operating room nurses.

Within an hour, we presented the advantages and opportunities brought by the adopting single use surgical items in the operating room. From patient safety to efficiency we explained how such products are an efficient infection barrier and how it helps the nurses to focus their attention on important issues by simplifying their work.
