Angiography

Angiography or arteriography is a surgery technique used to picture the lumen, or inside of blood vessels and organs. The technique involves the injection of an opaque agent into the blood vessel with X-ray imaging. This is particularly used for arteries, veins, and the heart chambers.

The vascular system is reached from the femoral or radial arteries. The benefit of such surgery is to avoid open surgery with minimal invasive intervention with catheter.
